Living in Anderson Twp, Ohio: Everything You Need, Nothing You Don't

Looking for Anderson Twp, Ohio homes for sale? I have to be honest with you: I love this area. Not just because it's a great place to sell real estate, but because I genuinely love the area. Anderson Twp, OH sits in the southeastern corner of Hamilton County, tucked between the Ohio River and the Little Miami Scenic River, and it might be the most convenient spot in all of Greater Cincinnati.

Here's what that means for your day-to-day life: you're about 15 minutes from downtown Cincinnati, less than 30 minutes from CVG Airport, 20 minutes from Kenwood Towne Center, and just 8 minutes from shopping in Eastgate. And here's the best part — you can get to almost all of it without ever touching the busy 71/75 interstate. That alone is worth a lot when you're commuting every day.

Why Buyers Love Anderson Twp, Ohio

  • Central location, minimal highway time: 15 minutes to downtown Cincinnati, under 30 to CVG Airport, 20 to Kenwood Towne Center, 8 to Eastgate — and you can skip 71/75 almost entirely.
  • Shopping and dining without leaving the area: Anderson has so many stores and restaurants that you genuinely never have to leave the township for day-to-day life.
  • Its own casino and horse track:Belterra Park Cincinnati, right in town.
  • A new entertainment venue on the way:The Farmer Music Center, a new $118 million riverfront venue on the old Coney Island site, is set to open in 2027 and will take over most of the concerts that used to be held at Riverbend Music Center.
  • Safe, family-friendly, and green: Anderson Township is recognized as a Tree City USA community with over 500 acres of parkland.

Parks & Recreation: The Heart of the Community

Anderson Township has more than 500 acres of parkland, so there's always somewhere to get outside:

Little Miami River Trail

A favorite for kayaking, walking, and biking along the Little Miami Scenic River.

Juilfs Park

A well-used neighborhood hub with playgrounds, sports fields, and walking trails.

Woodland Mound

A Hamilton County Great Park right in the township, with panoramic views of the Ohio River.

Top-Tier Convenience & Shopping

Beechmont Avenue (State Route 125) is the main artery through Anderson Township, and it's where most of the everyday shopping and errands happen. Between that and being minutes from Kenwood Towne Centre and Eastgate, you really can get almost everything you need without getting on the interstate.

Dining & Nightlife: Restaurants in Anderson Twp, Ohio

The restaurant scene here is one of my favorite things about this area — you could eat out every night of the week and not run out of go-to spots. A few of my personal favorites:

  • Grove Park — a local favorite for a reason.
  • Pelican's Reef — a great pick when you're in the mood for something a little different.
  • El Coyote — my go-to Mexican spot. Get the pork chops, the onion fries, and the medium hot homemade salsa. Trust me on this one.
  • Salem Gardens — hands down the best cheeseburgers in a dive bar/restaurant setting.
  • Anderson Pub and Grill — good times and a great breakfast, especially if you love the Original Pancake House vibe.

Real Estate, Schools & Community Lifestyle

  • Education: Anderson Township is served by the highly-rated Forest Hills School District, including Anderson High School and Turpin High School — both well known for strong academics, sports, and extracurriculars.
  • Real estate range: The market here covers a lot of ground. Entry to mid-level homes — bi-levels, tri-levels, and traditional two-story homes in established neighborhoods — typically start in the mid-$300,000s to $500,000s. On the luxury end, neighborhoods like Coldstream and homes along Coldstream Club Drive regularly list from $1,000,000 up to $4,500,000+.
  • Neighborhoods to know: Coldstream (luxury estates near golf), Cherry Grove and Forestville (walkable to Beechmont Avenue shopping), and Fruit Hill and Sherwood (quiet, tree-lined streets with mid-century homes).
  • Year-round appeal: Between the parks, the river, and the amount of green space, there's always a reason to be outside here, no matter the season.
